Well, we’ve already split this group into many little groups. It was kinda more fun when everybody was all together in plain old rpc. Anyway, my Mickey studiously cleans places around my house. There is usually something there when he scratches the carpet or floor. I clean the spot whenever he does that — there’s usually a tiny spot of poop or something. Xavier is a bit messy and does drop little pooplets sometimes. Mickey reports to me immediately whenever he does it. :) Eva

It’s a nice thought, but people have suggested similar ground rules in the past and haven’t gotten very far with them. The best you can do is to set a good example. :-) The upside of a free-speech forum is that people are free to get as passionate and heated as they wish on subjects that mean a lot to them, without fear of censorship. Morag, it sounds like a happy little world, but I don’t think so, it’s obvious that many of us enjoy the heated debates. Perhaps we should split into rpch&b (nice) & rpch&b(arguments)

Our cat Misha buries things in carpet all of the time. At first we were concerned that it was the beginning of her not wanting to use her box, but she has been doing this for about 6 months now. She has a distinct method that she uses, and acts like she is completely engrossed. It is weird, and kinda cute. We think she may do it because it feels good on her pads… but we do not know. Misha has also taken to burying things in the side of the couch recently. Who knows what goes on in their little kitty brains. -Heidi — Adam Cope http://dcaerobatics.com

Having been involved in RPGs, other newsgroups, eGroups, bulletin boards, and Human Resources Management for nigh on to thirty years, I’ve noticed one thing about human relationships… get more than one person involved in ANYthing and they will gravitate eventually to picking a fight, name calling, and insults. We could split up into the ‘nice’ and the ‘arguments’ groups as Jeanette jokingly (or perhaps not-so-jokingly) suggested, but those who moved to the ‘arguments’ group would be bored without an annoyed audience and sooner or later, the ‘nice’ side would start picking fights. <Grin> That said, I’d STILL like to try getting back to the ‘health and behavior’ discussions I came here for and get away from the bickering. My two-year old DSH Tuxedo, Domino the Dominator, decided night before last to try and cover up a section of the carpet in the living room… just like she’d just done her business there – but she hadn’t. She was quite insistent about it, too. After she ‘covered’ whatever it was she thought ought to be covered – a ghost poop? LOL – she sauntered off and was fine. Paid no attention to it at all afterwards. Anyone else have a cat that’s done this? Any ideas why she would? Jen

Jen
