Cindy, It took me 5 minutes to finish crying enough to type this message. I’m so incredibly sorry to hear about your baby’s condition. I wish there were something I could say to console you … but, I know there are no words adequate for this situation. Continue to love & care for your kitty. Every day with her is precious … She & you are in my prayers & thoughts. > Cindy

Cindy, I’m so sorry about Morganii. It’s so hard to watch these little creatures, who have nestled so deeply in our hearts, grow old. Letting go of such a good friend is a very tough thing to do, but having had her for so long must be of some comfort. I am also sorry that you recently lost another furry friend. It makes you that much more vulnerable. My thoughts are with you and yours with hopes that when it is time for Morganii to go, she will go gently. Monica

Cindy, my tears are flowing, but perhaps, more importantly, so are my many prayers for you and your beloved Morganii. No matter what, her spirit will NEVER leave you. . . Sometimes it is painful for me, but not a day goes by that I am not reminded or think of my Misha. I KNOW he is here with me — I just KNOW it!!! I feel him, and yes, I even see him — in a dimension that is beyond current scientific comprehension. Please understand that death can never remove the bond you have with Morganii. Your grief is amplified, of course, after having lost another cat two weeks ago. I am not equipped to discuss loss on any intellectual level, as I am still emotionally suffering from so many losses of my own — at least 10 losses in the last 10 years (and this includes pets/children/family/friends). But I can promise you ONE thing: you will NEVER regret letting Morganii go once you’ve gotten the "go-ahead" message from her. Like so many others in this newsgroup have observed and reported, there is a "look in the eyes" — I think it’s the soul that always shines through — that lets you know "it is time for me to go." Cindy, if nothing else, please remember that many of us have walked this path before: it is not where you are, so much, as what’s in your HEART that counts. . . –Tammy R. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Took Morganii to the vet today, just like I said I would > She is not doing well > Vet suspects that there won’t be much he can do. > Her cardiac myopathy is much worse and this is causing kidney and liver > problems > He took blood and urine and will have results tomorrow > He recommends no treatment except supportive with probably sub Q fluids for > the rest of her life a month or so at best > He says that she isn’t in pain but she is dying > She has been my baby for 15 years. Cindy, `Am really sorry to hear what seems to be the beginning of an ending. You sound like you are preparing yourself. My heart goes out to you, and I know that Morganii will be very happy to regain her youth, sight and hearing when she does cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. Bugsy
