So, two people are saying I shouldn’t let my deaf cat outdoors?  I didn’t ask if I should let her outdoors, I asked about her strange behavior.  So, what you two are saying is… we all should not let deaf cats, dogs, birds, and people or any deaf creature outdoors?  Why is that?  What just because a creature is deaf we should lock them up?  Nope, I will continue to let my cat outdoors so she can continue to collect bags, wires, pens and to roll around in the dirt of the houses being built next door.  Besides, one day the Sanitation Department will probably give her a medal or something for her good job in cleaning up the neighborhood! :-) — Gunner Semper Fi MCSFBN FAST CO NORVA "We kick ass so you don’t have to" —

I’ve heard that a lot of plastic wrappers and bags are coated with some animal fat or fish oil so they can be separated more easily. It’s obviously just a trace coating, not enough for us to smell or feel, but cats’ sense of smell is 20 times as sensitive as ours, so they could easily smell it. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->I dont know why but there have been many post in here about cats being >attracted to plastic.   Surprised you still have your cat!  I would not let a deaf cat run around   on the road, build her an enclosure.   ob. — ****    Odette Brown ** I love Cats    ***** *** La Belle Province ** Quebec ** CANADA *** *** http://www.igs.net/~rathey/odette1.htm ***
