Continually Pooping out of the litter box

None of it makes any difference. > Please, does anyone have any suggestions or can point us to any resources on > this problem?
One cat behavior specialist that I read suggested that litter box problems are occasionally a matter of thinking of the wrong end of the cat. Perhaps she likes the smooth surface on her paws. You might try doing something to tilt the litter pan so the litter is at one end, and a smooth surface for her front paws at the other. (For cats that go on carpet, she suggested a similar tilting, and attaching carpet to the other end partly on the bottom and up over the end side) If you make the area that she’s pooping on her feeding area, she surely won’t poop there any more. — "There’s a seeker born every minute."

Hello, we are at a our wits end with our older cat. She has started pooping out of her litter box on a concrete floor. She has been to the vet numerous times – they say there is nothing wrong with her. We have tried every kind of special food, providing RO water versus well water – we live in the country. We have tried different cat litters, changing the litter every day. None of it makes any difference. Please, does anyone have any suggestions or can point us to any resources on this problem? Response:
One idea: Try putting 3 litter boxes, in a row, for her. This worked w/ one of my cats, who when she was young, who used to poop on the floor immediately next to her litter box – for no discernible reason (at least, not to me). Btw – be glad she’s pooping outside the box, & not peeing outside of it. Really; at least the poop’s relatively easy to clean up. Have you tried a brand new pan? Karen
Response:
Does she go in the box to pee ? Maybe your kitty needs a higher box to poop.My kitty used to kick her litter every place, we got a higher litter box, it more like a plastic storange for clothing, about 15 inches high. I know its not the same proplem, but maybe it will work for you. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Hello, we are at a our wits end with our older cat.
